Darshan Thoogudeepa attends brother Dinakar's Kannada directorial Royal screening with mother, watch video

Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa, currently out on conditional bail in the Renukaswamy murder case, has expressed strong support for his brother, Dinakar Thoogudeepa. Darshan praised Dinakar's directorial venture Royal, which features young actors Viraat and Sanjana Anand in lead roles, showcasing their talents in a promising film.

Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa, who is currently out on conditional bail in connection with the Renukaswamy murder case, has shown great support for his brother, Dinakar Thoogudeepa, and his directorial venture Royal. The film, directed by Dinakar, stars young actors Viraat and Sanjana Anand in the lead roles.

Darshan recently attended a special screening of Royal, accompanied by his wife and mother. During the screening, the actor displayed a rare emotional side, wiping away tears as he sat beside his mother. After the event, Darshan expressed his admiration for his brother and the entire team behind the film. His heartfelt gesture highlighted the strong bond between the siblings and his pride in Dinakar’s work.

Actor Viraat, who plays a lead role in the film, also shared his gratitude on Instagram. He posted a picture with Darshan and Dinakar, thanking Darshan for his encouragement and support. Viraat expressed how much Darshan’s words meant to him and how they boosted his confidence for the film. His message was filled with appreciation for both Darshan and Dinakar, acknowledging their kindness and guidance.

The trailer of Royal was released on January 16, 2025, and Darshan took to social media to promote the film. He shared the trailer with his followers, urging them to support the movie. In his post, written in Kannada, Darshan wished the entire team of Royal the best, praising the film’s strong storyline and talented cast. He also encouraged fans to watch the movie when it hits theatres on January 24, 2025, expressing his belief that the love and support of the audience would always be with Kannada cinema.

Despite his ongoing legal issues, Darshan has continued to show his dedication to supporting the Kannada film industry and his family’s projects. Darshan was granted interim bail in October 2024 for medical reasons and later received conditional bail in December 2024 in connection with the Renukaswamy murder case. On the professional front, Darshan was previously working on his film Devil: The Hero before his legal troubles began. He was last seen on-screen in the successful Kannada film Kaatera in 2023.
