Amitabh Bachchan encountered 'rude' contestant

Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan has been hosting the iconic game show Kaun Banega Crorepati and has encountered several contestants.

However, this might be the first time in the KBC’s history when a contestant left the host out of words.

During an October 9 episode of KBC 17 Juniors, Amitabh Bachchan encountered an "overconfident, aggressive" child who proceeded to give Big B instructions.

Child contestant, who is a fifth-grade student from Gandhinagar, Gujarat, earned a chance to play KBC with the host Amitabh Bachchan. However, his bold actions have garnered media attention, with the critics trolling the child over his boldness.

A video of the episode is going viral on social media. In the episode, the child contestant left the audience, and the host was surprised after he said, “Mere ko rules pata hai, isliye aap mereko abhi rules samjhane mat baithna. (I know the rules, so don’t sit and explain them to me right now.)"

Even before Amitabh Bachchan shared the options, Ishit began to provide answers as the game went on.

However, the child contestant told Amitabh Bachchan during the show, “Yeh koi sawaal hai puchne ka."

However, the video ended with the child contestant failing to win the game. He failed to answer a question, “What is the name of the first Kanda (section/book) of the Valmiki Ramayana?”

The child contestant was left speechless and picked the wrong option. Amitabh Bachchan said that the child contestant made a mistake by choosing option B. Bala Kanda was the right answer.

The child contestant was playing for Rs 25,000, and he lost everything because he gave the wrong response.

However, netizens celebrated the child contestant's defeat after he walked home with zero. Several viewers also criticised the child for answering the questions in an aggressive manner and for his comments like “Arre option daalo" (put the options) and "Sir ek kya uss mein chaar lock lagado, lekin lock karo" (asking to lock multiple choices) before waiting.

One person wrote, “what a satisfying end And no, not blaming the kid—blame the parents. Raise a child without humility, patience, or manners, and you get a tiny dictator in the making. Losing even a single rupee? Bet it stings more than a reality check ever could. #KBC.”

Another added, “Everyone is enjoying this more than someone winning the ultimate prize of 7Cr.”

A third person wrote, “I showed this clip to my 6yr old who does not understand the language and said that’s a rude kid. Our body language, voice tone are the signals.”

Kaun Banega Crorepati 17 airs on Sony TV from Monday – Friday at 9 pm.
