CID, one of Indian television’s most iconic and longest-running shows, made a powerful comeback in 2024 with CID Season 2. The original series, which began in 1998 and concluded in 2018, enjoys a legendary status with an incredibly loyal fan base. So, when the makers brought it back, it was no less than a dream come true for millions. The original cast, including Shivaji Satam (ACP Pradyuman), Dayanand Shetty (Daya), Aditya Srivastava (Abhijeet), Hrishikesh Pandey, Narendra Gupta, and others, returned to reprise their unforgettable roles.

This season, now streaming globally on Netflix, has managed to capture old charm while introducing thrilling new developments. The initial episodes shocked fans as ACP Pradyuman was shown dead—a twist that left many heartbroken. His replacement, ACP Ayushmaan (played by Parth Samthaan), received mixed reactions initially, but eventually won audiences over. However, in a dramatic twist, ACP Pradyuman made a grand return, much to fans’ delight.

As the series continues to surprise, another emotional moment came when Dr. Salunkhe, a beloved character, was revealed as a traitor. Amid the emotional rollercoaster, some joy returned when Janvi Chheda reprised her role as Inspector Shreya. And now, fan-favorite Shraddha Musale is back as Dr. Tarika, adding to the excitement.

In the latest episode, Dr. Tarika made her return to the Forensic Department. Her comeback brought warmth and nostalgia, especially during a sweet scene shared with Abhijeet. The chemistry between the two remains as charming as ever.

She wrote,
"Finally… Tarika is here. I'd tell you, I will see you soon on the sets from the very 1st day of the shoot. And here's the kind of celebrations you wanted… this is just the beginning, my love. Happy homecoming. Missed @janvicg. Don't miss the last slide. That's my favorite."
