Chris Hemsworth captivated worldwide fans with his role as Thor, the god of thunder, in the Marvel movies. The actor’s intense yet comic performance led to Thor as one of the fans’ favourite Marvel characters.
Hemsworth has recently shared a video accompanied by a cryptic note expressing gratitude towards the legacy. However, fans are convinced that the actor’s post is a hint that he will soon leave the Marvel franchise, following in the footsteps of Chris Evans, aka Captain America.
Hemsworth recently paid tribute to the Thor legacy on his YouTube channel and penned an emotional note. The actor wrote, “Playing Thor has been one of the greatest honors of my life.”
He added, “For the last 15 years I've held Mjolnir and then Stormbreaker as the God of Thunder, but what made it truly special… was sharing it with all of you. Your passion, your cheers, and your love for this character have meant everything to me.”
Hemsworth concluded his post writing, “Thank you for making my journey through the Marvel Cinematic Universe unforgettable.. Next up, Doomsday!”
The video was titled ‘Thank You! The Legacy of Thor,’ and featured several behind-the-scenes from Thor and other Marvel films. The video also featured a screen test of Hemsworth for Thor.
However, several fans took to the comment section and speculated that he had paid an adieu to his character and may not return for another Thor film.
One person wrote, “Please never walk away from this role. We all want you to stay.” Another added, “please never stop playing thor.” A third fan commented, “don't say goodbye,” adding crying emojis.
