Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan extend Rs 1 crore donation for Wayanad landslide victims

In a heartwarming gesture, actors Chiranjeevi and his son Ram Charan Teja have shown their solidarity with the people of Wayanad, Kerala, who have been hit by devastating landslides recently. The father-son duo has together donated Rs 1 crore to the Kerala Chief Distress Minister's Relief Fund (CMDRF) to help the ongoing relief efforts in the state.

Chiranjeevi took to social media platform X to share a heartfelt note about their contribution. He expressed his deep sadness over the tragic incident and the loss of hundreds of lives. "Deeply distressed by the devastation and loss of hundreds of precious lives in Kerala due to nature’s fury in the last few days," he wrote.

"My heart goes out to the victims of the Wayanad tragedy. Charan and I together are contributing Rs 1 crore to the Kerala CM Relief Fund as a token of our support to the victims. My prayers for the recovery of all those in pain!" He added showing his support for the victims of this tragedy.


Earlier, Chiranjeevi’s nephew, actor Allu Arjun, also stepped forward with a donation of Rs 25 lakh to the Kerala CM Relief Fund. "I am deeply saddened by the recent landslide in Wayanad. Kerala has always given me so much love, and I want to do my bit by donating Rs 25 lakh to the Kerala CM Relief Fund to support the rehabilitation work. Praying for your safety and strength," Arjun shared.

In the past week, several other celebrities have also come forward to contribute. Notable donations include actors Suriya and Vikram, Mammootty, Dulquer Salmaan, Fahadh Faasil, Nazriya, Nayanthara, filmmaker Vignesh Shivan, and Rashmika Mandanna.

On Saturday, actor Mohanlal visited the affected region of Wayanad in his army uniform and pledged a donation of  Rs 3 crore for rehabilitation efforts. Mammootty, alongside his son Dulquer Salmaan, contributed Rs 35 lakh. Speaking to the press, Mammootty remarked, "At the moment, I have only contributed a small amount for the relief measures. I will contribute further if the need arises. They are all people like us whose lives have changed in two days. They need our help, and it’s up to all of us to assist them."
