On July 6, BTS member V, whose real name is Kim Taehyung, made a spectacular comeback to the world of fashion by attending Celine's 2026 Spring/Summer showcase at Paris Fashion Week.

Following his military discharge on June 10th, this was his first official solo schedule. The K-pop star quickly made headlines for his style and star power.

Even though V's attendance at the fashion event attracted a lot of attention, one particular moment—a personal invitation from the legendary editor-in-chief of Vogue US, Anna Wintour—took centre stage.

In a now-viral video shared by Vogue, Anna Wintour was seen warmly greeting V at the Celine event. “It’s so lovely to meet you. Welcome to Paris,” she said before extending an unexpected but significant invitation: “We’re hoping you’ll be able to attend our event in Hollywood this October.”

Clearly caught off-guard, V smiled and replied with a modest “Wow,” as fans noted his surprise at the encounter.

Later, as the two sat side by side for the official photo call before the runway show, Wintour reiterated her invitation. “We would love to have you join us for Vogue World in Hollywood,” she said, to which V responded politely, “I truly appreciate it.”

The moment quickly ignited a storm of excitement across social media platforms. Fans were particularly moved by Wintour’s approach, given her famously reserved public persona. “She never fawns over celebrities — especially young ones. For her to make the invitation twice and on camera? That says it all,” one fan commented on X.

Some conjectured that Wintour might have made the on-camera offer in order for V's agency, BIGHIT MUSIC, to see it. Others referred to him as the "IT Boy" of the moment, highlighting his continued ability to seamlessly blend pop culture and fashion.

V would reach yet another significant milestone in his development as a worldwide style icon if he were to attend Vogue World: Hollywood in October.
