Just a few days before the release of their eagerly anticipated movie Thamma, Rashmika Mandanna and Ayushmann Khurrana paused their promotional activities to visit the Shirdi Sai Baba temple to seek blessings.

Their visit, which was characterised by silent appreciation and introspection, provided a respite from the hectic schedule of release week.

The film, a quirky addition to Maddock Films’ popular horror-comedy universe, is set to release on 21 October. Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, Thamma stars Rashmika and Ayushmann in the lead and has already generated a strong buzz.

Rashmika looked stunning during their temple visit wearing a powder pink salwar suit, bold jhumkas, and an open hairstyle. It was a simple yet sophisticated ensemble.

To keep things traditional, Ayushmann wore a yellow kurta with white pyjamas. A video of the duo’s visit was shared by the Shirdi temple trust’s official social media account, showing them offering prayers with folded hands and heartfelt reverence.

After the darshan, the actors were honoured by the temple trust — a gesture that clearly touched them. Regarding the visit, Ayushmann recalled a personal experience: he hadn't visited Shirdi in 17 years. This was Rashmika's second visit, and she spoke kindly about the calm and happiness she experienced.

From Shirdi, the actors flew straight to New Delhi to continue their promotional run — but the visit clearly left an impression on both.

The timing of Rashmika’s temple appearance also drew attention for another reason. Just days earlier, reports surfaced about her quiet engagement to actor Vijay Deverakonda.

The couple reportedly exchanged rings in a private ceremony at Vijay’s Hyderabad home on 3 October. While they haven’t officially confirmed the news, eagle-eyed fans spotted gold bands on their fingers during recent outings.

Rashmika made her first public appearance post-engagement on 13 October, at the launch of the Poison Baby song from Thamma in Mumbai.

While she dazzled on stage, it was the subtle glint of a ring on her finger that truly got fans talking — a quiet but telling detail that fuelled speculation even further.
