Sandhya Mridul is an actress who has achieved success in both film and television. She has appeared in movies like Saathiya, Force, Honeymoon Travels Pvt Ltd, and Ragini MMS 2 on the big screen.
She hasn't been on the big screen in a long time and revealed that she isn’t getting work because of her fewer social media followers. Sandhya took to her Instagram and shared a video, which has sparked debate on how the casting of actors now is based on their social media following.
Social media influencers have frequently been cast in motion picture roles, and it appears that this is the precise cause of the actress's recent decline in roles. The video was both eye-opening and disappointing.
Without holding back, Sandhya Mridul called out the casting industry for selecting actors with a larger following.
She said in the video, “This is a new situation. If you don't have followers, you won't get a job.” The actress questioned, “If you don't give a job, how will you be famous? If you don't get a job, how will you get followers? If you don't get followers, how will you be famous? How will you get a job? Do you understand? It's a very difficult thing.”
She concluded the video saying, “If you don't get followers, you won't be famous. If you don't get famous, you won't get a job, you won't get money. So my look will only be rich. Not ever. Kindly help.”
She captioned the video by writing, “Acting skill se kya hoga? Jao followers lao!!”
