Priyanka Chopra on coming back in Indian films with Globetrotter: "Hopefully a new era"

Fans have been eagerly awaiting her comeback ever since reports surfaced about her collaboration with Rajamouli.

Global actress Priyanka Chopra is all set to make her much-awaited comeback to Indian cinema with Globetrotter, directed by the acclaimed filmmaker S.S. Rajamouli. The film marks her return to Indian films after several years of focusing on international projects.

Fans have been eagerly awaiting her comeback ever since reports surfaced about her collaboration with Rajamouli.

Priyanka interacted with fans through an ‘Ask PCJ’ session on X.

One fan asked if Globetrotter signified her grand return to Indian cinema, writing, “Is this your grand return to Indian cinema or a whole new PCJ era?” Priyanka replied, “Hopefully a new era and my return to Indian films. I’m not sure. But I know it will be incredible.”

Another fan expressed how much audiences had missed her, writing, “We have missed you a lot in Indian Cinema @priyankachopra. We hope #Globetrotter is just the beginning. We love you PeeCee.”

To this, Priyanka warmly responded, “By God’s grace. I’m hoping to be able to do the best work I can around the world. With all your support it feels like anything is possible. Hi @mukesh_pc haven’t talked for so long. How are u?”

Adding to the excitement, the makers have announced that the first-look teaser of Globetrotter will be unveiled on November 15 in Hyderabad at a grand event attended by S.S. Rajamouli, Mahesh Babu, and Priyanka Chopra. The trailer launch will also be live-streamed on JioHotstar.

Priyanka shared her experience of working on Rajamouli’s set and learning Telugu for the film. Responding to a fan, she wrote, “It’s obviously not my first language but @ssrajamouli sir has been so helpful. I will be able to deliver my Telugu lines and live up to your expectations.”

The filmmakers have already heightened the anticipation by releasing the first glimpse of Prithviraj Sukumaran’s character from the movie. While the official release date is yet to be announced, the buzz around Globetrotter is growing rapidly.

Priyanka was last seen in the Hollywood projects Citadel and The Bluff.
