Diljit Dosanjh to give voiceover in Yamla

In the midst of mourning and remembering, Yamla, the film now represents the last phase of Rajvir Jawanda's life and carries with it the feelings of a whole community that is still processing his death. Adding to this sentiment, the Yamla trailer has become a poignant homage to the late artist thanks to Diljit Dosanjh's voiceover.

On November 28, 2025, Yamla starring the late Punjabi singer and actor Rajvir Jawanda will be released in theatres. Fans are given a bittersweet reminder of the work he left behind with the update, which comes nearly a month after his tragic death.

As per Rozana Spokesmann, widely regarded for his kind disposition and easy humility, Diljit contributes a subtle yet potent emotional depth to the project with his voiceover, making sure that the film makes a warm and respectful first impression.

Yamla is presented by Gold Bridge Films and Entertainment and directed by Rakesh Mehta. Produced by Bally Singh Kakar and distributed globally by Panorama Studios and Anand Pandit

Motion Pictures, the film now carries the responsibility of becoming Rajvir’s lasting legacy.

Through it, his contribution to Punjabi cinema will remain alive for generations to come.

Sharing the screen with him is Navneet Kaur Dhillon, marking their first and sadly last collaboration. Their pairing brings a tenderness to the narrative that is now even more meaningful.

Seasoned performers Gurpreet Ghuggi and Dheeraj Kumar also appear in the film, balancing heartfelt moments with gentle humour.

On 27 September, Rajvir was involved in a severe motorcycle accident while travelling from Baddi to Shimla. He was rushed to Fortis Hospital in Mohali, where doctors worked tirelessly for twelve days to save him. Despite their efforts and the prayers of thousands, he could not be revived.

His passing at just thirty-five left fans, fellow musicians and the Punjabi film fraternity heartbroken.

As Yamla prepares to reach audiences on 28 November, it becomes more than a film—it becomes a farewell.
