Sony SAB’s Shrimad Ramayan continues to captivate audiences with its portrayal of Lord Ram's (Sujay Reu) divine journey. After enduring fourteen years of exile and a fierce battle against Raavan (Nikitin Dheer), Lord Ram and Sita (Prachi Bansal) are set to return to Ayodhya. As they approach their homecoming, Lord Ram sends Hanuman (Nirbhay Wadhwa) ahead to inform the residents of their arrival. However, Hanuman discovers that the people of Ayodhya are overshadowed by worry and sadness, awaiting the return of their beloved divine couple.

In the upcoming episodes, Ayodhya will be shrouded by the dark influence of Sahastramukhi Ravan, causing the city's atmosphere to be filled with anxiety. To uplift the spirits of the residents and bring light into their lives, Hanuman and Bharat (Nikhilesh Rathore) propose lighting diyas throughout the city. This gesture transforms Ayodhya into a radiant and festive place, celebrating the long-awaited return of Lord Ram and Sita, and marking the first Diwali celebration.

Sujay Reu, who portrays Lord Ram in Shrimad Ramayan, shared his thoughts on this significant moment: "I feel deeply connected to the emotions of Ayodhya’s residents as they await Lord Ram’s return after fourteen years of exile. This pivotal moment in the show represents hope and the triumph of light over darkness, capturing the true spirit of Diwali. I am honored to bring this iconic story to life and share the joy of Lord Ram and Sita's homecoming with our audience."

Catch Shrimad Ramayan on Sony SAB, airing every Monday to Saturday at 7:30 PM.
