The film The Lady Killer, starring Arjun Kapoor and Bhumi Pednekar, has had a rather unconventional release journey. Despite premiering in cinemas on November 3, 2023 it was only shown in a limited number of theaters, leaving many fans disappointed as they couldn't catch it on the big screen.
However, the film has now made its much-anticipated digital debut, with a unique twist.
On September 2, The Lady Killer became available for streaming on T-Series' YouTube channel, and in a surprising move, it's being offered for free rather than through a rental or pay-per-view model. This unexpected decision has delighted fans who had been eagerly waiting to watch the film.
The Lady Killer is an intense thriller that follows the story of a chemist who finds himself ensnared in trouble after meeting a mysterious woman. In a candid revelation, director Ajay Bahl shared that the film was released in theaters despite not being fully completed, adding another layer of intrigue to its already dramatic storyline.
Financially, the film struggled, earning only Rs 38,000 at the box office according to Sacnilk, making it the lowest opener of Arjun Kapoor and Bhumi Pednekar's careers.

Arjun Kapoor, reflecting on his experience with the film, mentioned how emotionally and mentally taxing the project was for both him and Bhumi. "The Lady Killer is something else," he said in an interview. "I have given a lot to that film. Mentally and emotionally, it was intense and raw for both of us. It's very real as a love story. That’s why I went on vacation afterward. I shot for about 45 days and needed a break to get out of that space."
Looking ahead, Arjun Kapoor is set to take on the role of the antagonist Danger Lanka in the upcoming film Singham Again, while Bhumi Pednekar will star in two new web series, Daldal and The Royals.
