Anushka Shetty’s Ghaati faces another delay, makers say "We believe this wait will make the experience richer..."

Anushka Shetty Ghaati postponed again

Anushka Shetty and Vikram Prabhu's highly anticipated action-drama Ghaati is getting postponed again. Due to unfinished production, the film's initial release date of July 11, 2025, has now been rescheduled.

In an official statement released via their X handle, the makers UV Creations offered a poetic explanation for the latest postponement.

The message read: "Cinema is a living river… sometimes it rushes forward, sometimes it pauses to gather depth. Ghaati is not just a film; it’s a mountain echo, a wild breeze, a story carved from stone and soil. To honour every frame, every breath, we have chosen to hold its flight a little longer in our embrace. We believe this wait will make the experience richer, more intense, more unforgettable. Thank you for your love and patience."

This is the second time the movie's release date has been changed. Originally slated to hit theatres on April 18, 2025, Ghaati was later rescheduled for July. A new release date has not yet been confirmed due to the most recent delay.

Actress Anushka Shetty and celebrated director Krish Jagarlamudi reunite in Ghaati, which is produced by Rajeev Reddy and Sai Babu Jagarlamudi and distributed under the UV Creations banner. Expectations are high for the pair's most recent collaboration, as they previously produced the highly acclaimed Vedam.

Promotional material from the film, including its striking poster featuring the words “victim, criminal, legend”, hints at a gritty transformation arc. Anushka’s character reportedly evolves from a victim into a criminal mastermind entrenched in the illicit cannabis trade, setting the stage for a dark and compelling narrative.

With Manojh Reddy Katasani in charge of the cinematography, Nagavelli Vidya Sagar for the music, the renowned Thota Tharrani for art direction, and Chanakya Reddy Toorupu and Venkat N. Swamy for editing, the movie has an impressive technical team.

With dubbed versions in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi, Ghaati is scheduled for a nationwide release.

On the work front, Anushka Shetty last appeared with Naveen Polishetty in the romantic comedy Miss Shetty Mr. Polishetty in 2023. Now, fans will have to wait a little while longer to see her in this powerful, life-changing role.
