Actor Allu Arjun has returned to work just days after bidding farewell to his grandmother, Allu Kanakratnam. The Tollywood superstar was spotted in Mumbai on Sunday, stepping out in a white shirt, dark sunglasses, and a backpack, as paparazzi captured him heading towards his car.
Kanakratnam, wife of veteran actor and Padma Shri awardee Allu Ramalingaiah, passed away in Hyderabad on August 29 at the age of 94. Her demise left the Allu and Konidela families grieving.
The Pushpa star immediately cut short his schedule and flew back to Hyderabad for the last rites, joining uncle Chiranjeevi, cousin Ram Charan, and other family members to pay their respects.
In a heartfelt note shared on social media, Arjun remembered his grandmother with deep affection. “Our beloved grandmother #AlluKanakaratnam garu now rests in her heavenly abode. Her love, wisdom, and presence will be missed every single day,” he wrote. He also thanked well-wishers, adding, “Heartfelt thanks to everyone who came forward to share their affection and condolences. To those far away, your prayers and love were felt just as much. Thank you for your love. Humbled.”
