Adnaan Shaikh is an ardent fan of Salman Khan, the original host of Bigg Boss. He credits Khan for inspiring his fitness journey and starting his NGO, Pure Deeds, influenced by Khan's charitable organization, Being Human. Adnaan's admiration for Khan also extends to his hosting abilities, which he believes set a high standard for the show.

When asked about Anil Kapoor's hosting style, Adnaan confessed that the new host has brought a different dynamic to the show. He noted that while Kapoor is doing a commendable job, there is a certain element missing that was prominent during Salman Khan's tenure. Adnaan said, "Aacha kar rahe hai woh. Salman bhai ke saamne bolti bandh ho jaati. Abhi Anil sir ke saamne thoda bol pa rahe hai. Jo Weekend Ka Waar pe jo khauf rehta tha woh thoda missing hai. Par sir bhi aacha kar rahe hai." This translates to, "He’s doing good. Earlier, contestants used to fear before speaking to Salman Khan. Now they can still speak to Anil. That fear in Weekend Ka Vaar is missing, but he is also doing fine."
Adnaan pointed out that under Salman Khan's hosting, there was an atmosphere of intimidation during the "Weekend Ka Vaar" episodes, where contestants would think twice before speaking up. This fear factor, according to Adnaan, is not as prevalent with Anil Kapoor, making the contestants more vocal and daring in their interactions.
During the conversation, Adnaan also touched upon an incident involving contestant Armaan Malik slapping his friend Vishal. Adnaan criticized another contestant, Lovekesh, for not standing up for Vishal. He said, "Main iski jagah hota toh apni maa-bhen, family member ko laata hi nahi. Lovekesh Vishal ko apna dost bulata hai, but he didn't save him or was completely honest in that situation. Main uski jagah hota toh Armaan ke aage haath jodh leta, but physically maarne nahi deta." This translates to, "If I was in his place, I would not have brought my family members to the show. Lovekesh called Vishal his friend, but he didn't save him or was completely honest in that situation. If I was at Lovekesh's place, I would have begged before Armaan but asked him not to slap Vishal."
Adnaan's remarks shed light on the different approaches and impacts of the two hosts. While Salman Khan's presence brought a certain fear and respect among the contestants, Anil Kapoor's style seems to encourage more open and bold interactions. This difference, according to Adnaan, may affect the dynamics and atmosphere within the Bigg Boss house.
