The political battle rages just as intensely in the scorching climate of Rayalaseema, where temperatures have soared to an unforgiving 40 degrees. Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy and his principal adversary, former Chief Minister and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) supremo Chandrababu Naidu are fully engaged in the election campaign, each seeking to sway voters with their distinct visions for Andhra Pradesh's future. Despite the heat, both leaders have attracted large crowds, highlighting the electorate's engagement and the critical stakes in the forthcoming state elections.

Chandrababu Naidu, launching a vigorous challenge against the incumbent YSRC government, initiated his 'Praja Galam' campaign in Palamaner, Chittoor district. This series of public outreach events marked the beginning of a high-decibel campaign targeting the alleged failures of Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy's administration. Naidu's itinerary included addresses in Puttur and Madanapalle, where he vehemently criticized the state government's performance, setting a confrontational tone for the TDP's election campaign.

The campaign's intensity was encapsulated in a significant public meeting by Naidu on Saturday at Proddatur, Kadapa district. Here, Naidu implored the electorate to reject what he described as the "most inefficient" Chief Minister, accusing Jagan Mohan Reddy of neglecting the development of Rayalaseema and failing to deliver on promises such as the construction of the Kadapa steel plant. Naidu's rhetoric was charged with allegations of nepotism and misgovernance, questioning the moral integrity of the YSRC's candidature and leadership.

Amidst these criticisms, Naidu unveiled a slew of promises as part of the TDP's manifesto. These included financial incentives for women, educational reforms, agricultural subsidies, job creation measures, and a pledge to eradicate drug and narcotics issues within 100 days. Highlighting systemic issues under the YSRC government, such as delayed salaries for government employees and inadequate support for backward communities, Naidu positioned the TDP as the harbinger of prosperity and governance. Conversely, Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy, approximately 125 km from Naidu's Proddatur event, conducted his bus yatra in Gooty, Anantapur. This personal campaign style, characterized by direct interaction and emotive appeals, showcased Reddy's attempts to distinguish his governance from his predecessor's. Reddy's campaign sought to reinforce his administration's achievements and secure electoral support for another term, promising continued development and showcasing his government's welfare schemes.

During his visits to the villages of Tuggali and Ratana, Reddy highlighted the eradication of bribery and the equitable distribution of welfare benefits under his rule.
