In the 2024 elections in Andhra Pradesh, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), comprising the TDP, BJP, and Janasena, achieved a notable victory, securing 21 Parliament seats and 164 Assembly seats.

Breaking down the Assembly Elections results, the TDP secured 16 seats, the BJP three, and Janasena two, while the YSRCP managed only four seats. In the Assembly polls, the TDP emerged as the leader with 135 seats, followed by Janasena with 21 seats and the BJP with eight seats, while the YSRCP trailed behind with 11 seats.

Analysis indicates an anti-incumbency sentiment and a shift in the traditional YSRCP vote bank, notably in regions like Rayalaseema and coastal Andhra. Remarkably, the TDP's vote share surged from 0.8% in 2019 to 45.6% in 2024, winning 76.6% of the contested seats, a substantial improvement. Conversely, YSRCP faced defeats in its traditional strongholds, signalling a significant change in the political dynamics of the state.
