Turkey’s consumer confidence index rose to 85.7 in February 2026 from 83.7 in January, marking the highest reading since March 2025. Assessments strengthened for households’ current financial situation, with the index climbing to 71.3 from 68.2 in January. Expectations for households’ financial outlook over the next twelve months also improved significantly, rising to 86.8 from 83.3. Households’ willingness to spend on durable goods strengthened modestly, with the index increasing to 103.2 from 101.9, suggesting a gradual improvement in purchasing intentions. Meanwhile, expectations for the general economic situation over the next year remained broadly stable, edging slightly lower to 81.4 from 81.5. Despite the improvement, the overall index remained below the 100 threshold, indicating that consumer confidence continues to reflect a pessimistic outlook.
