Montpellier President gets ban for outburst

Montpellier President Louis Nicollin has been banned for two months for using 'discriminatory and threatening' language in an outburst directed at Auxerre midfielder Benoit Pedretti.

"The National Ethics committee has decided to suspend Louis Nicollin from all official activities for four months, two of them suspended, for his discriminatory and threatening language," the French Football Federation said on Monday.

Nicollin told Canal Plus after last month's Ligue 1 game between Auxerre and Montpellier that his team would "take care of" Pedretti in the return fixture, in an outburst that also included a homophobic slur.
