US President Donald Trump downplayed Russia’s role in the recent breach of Polish airspace, suggesting the violation could have been a “mistake.”
His remarks came just hours after Russian drone strikes near the border, which prompted concerns over drone incursions. Earlier, Trump had posted on Truth Social, questioning the incidents.
When asked about Russia’s airspace violation over Poland, US President Donald Trump said, “It could have been a mistake. But regardless, I’m not happy with anything to do with that whole situation." He added, “But hopefully it’s going to come to an end," without offering further details, according to the Kyiv Independent.
These were Trump’s first public remarks on the incident. Earlier, he had addressed it only on social media, posting, “What’s with Russia violating Poland’s airspace with drones? Here we go!"
