A video shows the man shouting, "I am going to bomb the plane".

A man was arrested after causing a mid-air disturbance on an EasyJet flight from London Luton to Glasgow, where he
shouted threats, including "I am going to bomb the plane".

According to multiple social media reports, the incident happened on Flight EZY609 from Luton to Glasgow, Scotland.

Videos of the incident, which went viral on social media, showed chaos on the flight as passengers intervened and subdued the man, as he stood up and claimed he had a bomb.

The man was also heard yelling "death to America, death to Trump" and "Allahu Akbar" (Arabic for "God is Great").

Police boarded the aircraft upon landing in Glasgow and arrested the 41-year-old man.

"He remains in custody and enquiries are continuing," Scotland Police said in a statement, adding that counter-terrorism officers are assessing the widely circulated footage.

According to the Glasgow Times, EasyJet said the flight’s safety was never compromised and all passengers disembarked safely.

Coincidentally, former US President Donald Trump was also in Scotland at the time, where he announced a trade deal with EU chief Ursula von der Leyen aimed at ending a transatlantic tariff standoff.
