South Korean technology giant Samsung initially introduced the Galaxy S25 Edge at its Galaxy Unpacked event earlier this year. Multiple reports recently claimed that this slim flagship was believed to hit shelves on April 15. However, a recent report now suggests that the company has pushed the launch of the S25 Edge, and Samsung is expected to host an online launch event for the phone next month.
Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge launch timeline
According to a new report by SamMobile, citing unnamed sources, Samsung will launch the Galaxy S25 Edge on May 13. Moreover, the launch event is expected to be held online only, aligning with Samsung’s recent strategy of digital product reveals. The reason for the delay is not known yet, but the report adds that it might be due to leadership changes.

The upcoming Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge is likely to be positioned between the Galaxy S25+ and Galaxy S25 Ultra models and is rumored to feature a 6.6-inch AMOLED 120Hz display while maintaining an ultra-slim design at just 5.84mm thickness. Further, the screen could offer 2,600 nits of peak brightness and also feature an ultrasonic fingerprint similar to the rest of the Galaxy S25 lineup.

The device will reportedly have a 3,900mAh battery to maintain its slim form factor with 25W charging support. In terms of optics, the device is expected to include a dual camera setup comprising a 200MP primary sensor and a 12MP secondary shooter.
