In a powerful and disturbing front-page layout, the Iranian newspaper Tehran Times has published photographs of children who were allegedly killed in a missile strike during the ongoing conflict between Iran, the United States, and Israel. The front page, which directly questioned U.S. President Donald Trump, quickly went viral on social media and triggered a wider debate about the human cost of war.
The newspaper’s Monday edition displayed the faces and names of children it said died after missiles hit an elementary school compound in Minab, a coastal city in southern Iran. The stark visual presentation focused entirely on the victims, creating a striking cover that many online users described as both heartbreaking and confrontational.

Sharing the front page on X, Tehran Times wrote: “Trump, look them in the eyes. With hundreds of Iranian children dead, the U.S. president still denies the bombing of Minab’s elementary school.” The post rapidly circulated online, with users discussing the tragedy and the broader implications of military conflict.

Many social media users reacted emotionally to the images. One user wrote, “So many possibilities erased, so many futures ended even before they could start, so many flowers crushed even before they had a chance to bloom.”
Another comment blamed multiple actors involved in the conflict, stating, “Not just Trump, those who pulled the trigger, those who produced the missile, those who provided the intelligence and eventually all Trump supporters are guilty as well.”
A third user called for an end to the conflict, writing, “Saddened that the U.S. is still denying the bombing of Minab’s elementary school. Trump’s refusal to acknowledge it shows a troubling lack of accountability and remorse. As an American, I believe it’s time to seek a truce, end this war, and move towards peace.”
Meanwhile, a report by Reuters said U.S. military investigators believe it is possible that American forces were responsible for the strike on the girls’ school, though the probe has not yet reached a final conclusion. Two U.S. officials told Reuters that the investigation into the incident is still ongoing.
The school in Minab was reportedly hit on Saturday during the opening phase of joint U.S. and Israeli strikes on Iranian targets. According to Iran’s envoy to the United Nations in Geneva, Ali Bahreini, the attack killed around 150 students.
However, President Donald Trump disputed Iran’s claims. Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One, he suggested the strike may have been carried out by Iran itself.
“We think it was done by Iran. Because they are very inaccurate, as you know, with their munitions. They have no accuracy whatsoever,” Trump said.
