Industrialist Harsh Goenka recently shared a humorous post on social media that quickly caught the attention of users online. In an X post, Goenka shared a short joke involving a call to the White House. The joke begins with a man calling the White House and saying he wants to become the next President of the United States.

In the joke, the operator responds by asking the man if he is mad. The caller then replies with another question: “Is it mandatory?”

The witty exchange amused many users on social media, with several people sharing the post and reacting with laughing emojis and comments. Some users praised the humour and said the joke cleverly plays on political satire.

One user wrote, “lol. It’s actually mandatory zzz you have to be ready to launch wars with no benefit to anyone except the weapons manufacturers.”

Another X user said, “The most American thing is complaining about the government to the government while asking the government to fix it.”

A third user added, “Operator: No, it isn't. But from your accent, you should just like the fellow who calls us every week asking for help to make him PMofIndia in his lifetime!!”

The post surfaced amid the ongoing conflict between the United States, Israel, and Iran, which escalated in late February after joint US and Israeli airstrikes targeted Iranian military and nuclear facilities. Iran responded with missile and drone attacks on US bases and allies across the Middle East, widening tensions in the region. The conflict has also disrupted global oil supplies, aviation routes, and shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, a key global energy corridor.
