OnePlus has scheduled an event on July 16 in Milan, Italy, where the company is expected to introduce its next mid-range smartphone, the OnePlus Nord 4. The media invite for the launch event comes with a metal card, which suggests that the upcoming OnePlus Nord 4 will have a metal unibody design. We can also expect the OnePlus Buds 3 Pro and Watch 2R to launch at the same event.
OnePlus has also posted a teaser video on social media platform X with the tagline “Metal welded with Mettle.” This also debunks earlier rumours which suggested that the OnePlus Ace 3V, which launched in China earlier this year with a plastic/polycarbonate frame, would be rebranded as the OnePlus Nord 4 globally.
OnePlus Nord 4: Expected specifications, price
According to X tipster Sanju Choudhary, the OnePlus Nord 4 will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chipset. It will have a 6.74-inch OLED Tianma U8+ display with 1.5K resolution, up to 120Hz refresh rate, and 2150 nits of peak brightness. Additionally, the phone will have a big 5500mAh battery with 100W fast charging support.
In terms of optics, the Nord 4 is expected to come with a 50MP primary camera and an 8MP ultrawide angle camera. The leaked image also reveals that both cameras are horizontally placed at the back of the phone. For selfies, the smartphone is tipped to come with a 16MP sensor.
Choudhary also indicates that the Nord 4 could have a starting price of Rs 31,999. This would mean that it would have a lower starting price than the OnePlus Nord 3, which was launched at a starting price of Rs 33,999 last year.
