OnePlus Nord 5 Series and Buds 4 launching July 8: What to expect

OnePlus is all set to unveil its Nord 5 series and OnePlus Buds 4 at the Summer Launch Event on July 8 at 2 PM IST.  The event will see the launch of two new OnePlus smartphones under the Nord series and a pair of OnePlus Buds.

OnePlus Nord 5

The Nord 5 is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 and LPDDR5X RAM, promising console-level gaming with ray tracing, 144fps support, and a massive 7,300 mm² Cryo-Velocity cooling system. It features a 50MP + 8MP rear camera (with Sony’s LYT-700 sensor) and a 50MP selfie shooter with autofocus—both capable of 4K 60fps and Ultra HDR LivePhotos.

OnePlus Nord CE 5

The more affordable sibling comes with a MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Apex chip, scoring over 1.47 million on AnTuTu, and the same LPDDR5X RAM. It packs a gigantic 7,100mAh battery with 80W SUPERVOOC fast charging (0–100% in 59 minutes), Bypass Charging, and Battery Health Magic. On the camera front, it houses a 50MP Sony LYT-600 with OIS and 4K HDR video support.

OnePlus Buds 4

Promising immersive audio, the Buds 4 offer 11 hours of standalone playback (up to 45 hours with case), dual drivers, dual DACs, LHDC 5.0 support, and 3D audio. Features like 47ms Game Mode, AI Translation, Steady Connect, Google Fast Pair, and dual-device pairing round out the package. Available in Zen Green and Storm Gray.
