Honor has launched its Magic 8 series in China. Both smartphones are powered by Qualcomm's flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, MagicOS 10, which is based on Google's Android 16 operating system, and house a triple rear camera setup.

Honor Magic 8 Pro

Chinese smartphone maker Honor has introduced its latest flagship Magic 8 lineup in China. It consists of the Magic 8 and Magic 8 Pro smartphones, and both devices are powered with Qualcomm's flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, along with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of built-in storage. Further, these handsets ship with MagicOS 10, which is based on Android 16 and comes in four colour options.

Honor Magic 8 series: Price

Starting with the Honor Magic 8, it is priced at CNY 4,499 (around Rs 55,000) for the base model with 12GB RAM + 256GB RAM and storage. It has three more variants, with the flagship model with 16GB RAM + 1TB storage priced at CNY 5,499 (roughly Rs. 67,800). Meanwhile, the Honor Magic 8 Pro has a starting price of CNY 5,699 (around Rs 70,200) for the 12GB + 256GB variant, and goes up to CNY 6,699 (roughly Rs. 83,000) for the top-end 16GB + 1TB model.

Both smartphones are available in four different colour options and are now available for pre-order in China. However, their global availability is still not confirmed.

Honor Magic 8 series: Specifications, features

The Honor Magic 8 and Magic 8 Pro smartphones are powered by Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC paired with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB UFS 4.0 storage. They run on MagicOS 10. The Honor Magic 8 features a 6.58-inch LTPO quad curved display with 1.5K screen resolution. In contrast, the Honor Magic 8 Pro features a taller 6.71-inch LTPO quad curved display with 120Hz refresh rate.

For optics, the Honor Magic 8 has a triple rear camera unit, headlined by a 50MP primary, a 50MP ultrawide camera and a 200MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and up to 100x digital zoom. For selfies, the Honor Magic 8 has a 50MP front-facing camera. In contrast, the Honor Magic 8 Pro offers a 200MP telephoto lens with 3.7x optical zoom and 100X digital zoom. The Magic 8 is backed by a 7000 mAh battery and supports 90W wired and 80W wireless charging. The Magic 8 Pro has a larger 7200 mAh battery and supports 100W wired and 80W wireless charging.
