Hogwarts Legacy – the open-world action role-playing game set in renowned author JK Rowling's Harry Potter universe – recently got the free Hogwarts Legacy Summer 2024 Update. Here’s what developer Avalanche Software and publisher Warner Bros. Games (Portkey Games) have got for lovers of this open-world Harry Potter RPG with the summer update.
Explore the haunted shop in Hogsmeade
The Hogwarts Legacy Summer Update 2024 adds a Hogsmeade shop quest. Until now in the Harry Potter RPG, there was an inaccessible storefront in Hogsmeade called Madam Mason’s Store. The side-quest is related to that store only.
After players download the summer update, they will find Penny the house elf sweeping outside this particular storefront shortly after the beginning of the winter season. Speak with her and a new quest full of mystery will unlock. Did we mention ‘haunted’? Prepare for some scares in the new Hogsmeade shop quest.
How about owning the very shop whose mystery you are going to unravel? Once you complete the Hogsmeade shop quest, you’ll become its owner. Plus, you’ll also get a “dapper shopkeeper’s outfit”.
Photo Mode comes to Hogwarts Legacy
The much-requested Photo Mode has now made it to Hogwarts Legacy. The Hogwarts Legacy Photo Mode allows you access to a lot of camera features, image filters and effects, photo frames, and more to capture your moments in the Harry Potter universe game.

You can hide the NPCs and your own Hogwarts Legacy character, choose a different pose for your avatar like sitting, and also tinker with the time of day and season in the game.
Hogwarts Legacy Summer Update 2024: Reset your character’s talent points
The Hogwarts Legacy’s Summer Update 2024 adds another highly-requested feature: the ability to reset talent points. To reset each talent point in Hogwarts Legacy, you would have to cough up 200 gold. You can reset the talent points in-game by pausing the gameplay and going to the Talents section of the Field Guide.

The Hogwarts Legacy Summer Update 2024 adds new cosmetics to the Harry Potter universe game. These include an all-new Azkaban Coat, the Azkaban Prisoner’s Outfit, The Glasses That Lived, the Onyx Hippogriff mount, the Felix Felicis Potion Recipe and the Lavender Borealis broom.
