After launching the Nothing Phone (3a) series, Nothing is gearing up to launch a new smartphone under its sub-brand, CMF by Nothing. The new handset, the company has been teasing for a while now, is likely to be the CMF Phone 2. And, here’s everything we know so far about it.
CMF Phone 2: DesignThe first official teaser of the CMF Phone 2 was shared on the brand’s X (formerly Twitter) account, revealing part of the rear design. The phone appears to have a matte-finish panel with a glossy overlay, plastic edges, and visible screws—one of which is likely securing the back panel. The CMF logo is placed at the bottom left, and it changes shade depending on the viewing angle. Although the official camera setup remains unclear, leaks suggest it could feature either a single or a dual-camera system. There are also reports indicating support for an Accessory Point System that allows users to attach stands, card holders, or lanyards.
CMF Phone 2: Expected launch dateCMF has yet to confirm the official launch date. However, multiple sources point to May 2, 2025, as the expected India launch. Flipkart has also created a microsite for the device, accompanied by the tagline “searching for the right shot,” possibly hinting at camera enhancements.
CMF Phone 2: Expected SpecificationsThe CMF Phone 2 is expected to feature a 6.3-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of 2500 nits. It may be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 chipset, paired with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. Camera specifications, though unconfirmed, include a 50MP main sensor, an Ultrawide lens, and a 16MP front camera. It is also expected to pack a 5000mAh battery with 50W fast charging and ship with Nothing OS 3.1 based on Android 15. The device may also carry an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance.
CMF Phone 2: PricingThe phone is expected to cost under Rs 20,000. Exact details will be revealed after the launch.
