Paris Olympics 2024 India's schedule Day 9: India had shots at multiple medals on Saturday but failed to grab even one, with the day rather finishing on a controversial note. Manu Bhaker finished fourth in the women's 25m pistol final, while India's most reputed archer Deepika Kumari crumbled in the quarterfinals. The final act of the day, where India had a chance of assuring a bronze also ended on a controversial note as Nishant Dev endured a 1-4 loss in the men's 71kg boxing quarterfinal. However, Day 9, which is Sunday, will see India once again take part in many key events, starting with the men's hockey. Harmanpreet Singh and Co. will lock horns with Great Britain in the quarterfinal and will look to seal the semifinal berth.

Apart from hockey, we'll see Tokyo Olympics bronze medallist Lovlina Borgohain take on Li Qian of China in the women's 75kg quarterfinal bout. A win for Lovlina here will assure her of a second Olympic medal, something which all Indians will be praying for. If she manages to achieve the feat, she will become the first Indian to win two medals in boxing at the Olympics.

Then we have our in-form shuttler Lakshya Sen take on Denmark's Viktor Axelsen, who carries a huge reputation in the badminton circuit. A win will place Lakshya in the gold medal match and we hope that will be the case.
