Former India cricketer Aakash Chopra who is now working as a commentator took a jibe at Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the Pakistani cricket team. The Men in Green recently won a ODI series against Sri Lanka and their PM congratulated them via social media platform X (formerly Twitter).

On Saturday (November 16), Sharif congratulated the Pakistan cricket team writing, "I congratulate our national team on winning the ODI series against Sri Lanka, and I commend Chairman PCB Mohsin Naqvi and his entire team for their great efforts. It was a wonderful display of cricket's unifying spirit. My special thanks to the Sri Lankan players and management. Their participation once again reflects the enduring friendship between our two nations."

Pakistan on Friday (November 15) took an unassailable 2-0 lead in the 3-match ODI series with a sensational 8-wicket win at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

The Pakistan PM was all praise for Mohsin Naqvi (PCB chairman and country's Interior Minister). Sharif also extended special thanks to Sri Lanka cricket team for taking part in the series despite the explosion at the district and sessions court in Islamabad's G-11 area hours before the first game of the series.

Chopra took jibe as Sharif on X writing, "When winning a bilateral series is your only flex."

The words of the 48-year-old man is related to the disappointing performance of Pakistan in the last few ICC tournaments. After the victory of the Champions Trophy in 2017, the Men in Green have not been able to grab any major crown.

Pakistan lost in the semi-finals at the 2021 T20 World Cup and were beaten heavily by England in the final of 2022. They also got knocked out in the group stage of the 2023 ODI World Cup, the 2024 T20 World Cup, and the 2025 ICC Champions ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌Trophy.
