Multan Sultans' bowler Ubaid Shah unintentionally hit wicketkeeper Usman Khan in the head, causing a startling incident in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) match against Lahore Qalandars. The incident happened when Ubaid dismissed Sam Billings during the intense PSL match played at Multan Cricket Stadium.
As Ubaid turned and jumped in celebration after taking a vital wicket, he inadvertently struck Usman on the head with his palm. After a brief medical examination, the keeper, who was only wearing a cap, looked momentarily stunned but resumed playing. Usman offered a thumbs up to indicate he was alright, despite the Multan Sultans' camp's obvious concern.
Fans commented on the heat and intensity PSL has delivered this season as the moment swiftly went viral on social media.
Ubaid Shah's performance was a key highlight of the encounter, despite the odd celebration. He contributed significantly to Multan Sultans' maiden victory this season with his accurate bowling and three wickets.
Lahore Qalandars collapsed under pressure when chasing a challenging 229, managing 195 for nine wickets in their 20 overs. Prior to Mohammad Naeem's wicket, Lahore Qalandars had a solid start in their chase, scoring 38 runs in 3.2 overs.

Fakhar Zaman led the charge with a quick 32 off 14 balls, studded with three fours and two sixes. But Qalandars' momentum was halted when he was removed on the penultimate ball of the fourth over. Abdullah Shafique and Daryl Mitchell formed a quick 36-run partnership after he was dismissed, bringing the Qalandars' total to 85 in 8.4 overs.
Just as the Qalandars seemed to be rallying, Multan Sultans retaliated, dismissing both batsmen in quick succession, leaving the visitors reeling at 87-4. The Qalandars fell to 111-5 in 11.2 overs, causing the required run-rate to rise. Sam Billings and Sikandar Raza, meanwhile, gave them a ray of hope with a 38-run partnership.
Billings was dismissed after a solid innings of 43 off 23 balls, which included two 4s and four 6s. But again, the chase was ruined by his removal. In the end, the target proved too steep, despite Raza's heroic 50 off 27 balls, which included three 6s and five 4s.
