After tech firm Info Edge took social media by storm by gifting luggage trolleys to their employees for Diwali, several other companies too have been hogging the limelight with their "generous" festival gifts. One among them is the sanitaryware company, Kohler.

Employees of the company have been sharing videos of their Diwali hampers, which were almost as big as the Info Edge strolleys. Each of them contained a 20-gram pure silver bar, an air fryer, a coffee machine, coffee, a copper diya, tea candles, sweets, and skin care products.

In a viral reel, an employee showed how they received their gifts in a box that most assumed contained a commode.

But later, the employee revealed the contents of the Diwali hamper in a separate reel, which also went viral.

The reels left several Instagram users "crying in the corner" and comparing what their employers gifted them.

"This year feels like competition. Between companies," said one Instagram user, while another asked, "They gave you coffee AND silver? Wow! How to apply to this company?"

Info Edge kicked off trend

The trend of sharing lavish Diwali gifts on social media appears to have started with tech firm Info Edge after videos of its employees began trending on Instagram. Over the past few days, multiple reels recorded by staff have showcased the company’s festive gesture, drawing thousands of views and comments.

The clips reveal decorated office desks with identical gift sets neatly arranged for collection. Each employee received a VIP-branded suitcase, a snack box, and a traditional diya — a combination that many users called “thoughtful” and “generous.”

Commenters were quick to express admiration — and envy. “Please refer me to this company, someone,” wrote one Instagram user, while another quipped: “Why is my company not doing this? I am also a hardworking employee, I too want to celebrate Diwali at the office and get gifts.”
