A video of concert-goers in Bengaluru returning via metro has gone viral after it depicted the passengers singing loudly while sitting on the floor, creating a nuisance for others. The widely shared video raised concerns of "Bengaluru metro turning into Delhi metro" at a time when the latter frequently makes headlines for disturbing passenger behaviour.
"According to our Bengaluru Metro rules, no one should sit on the floor, nor should they disturb those sitting next to them," one X user said. "Seeing what these people are doing here, it feels like our Bengaluru Metro will soon turn into the Delhi Metro as quickly as possible."

"I was searching for this videos. Sadly, I was there in that metro, I was coming from Hassan on Sunday night, boarded Nagasandra metro at 10.45. There were 100s of these northies coming from some concert, they all are wearing some band in their hand...," commented another user.
"This behaviour among Indians is like cancer, spreading wherever they go outside the country too, on trains, airports, planes," added a third user.

On Instagram, a few users urged the Bengaluru metro officials to take action against such nuisance makers.
"If someone eats food on the metro, you guys take action, and rules come into the picture. Why not in this case, it's not a Delhi metro to see like this, take some actions," said one Instagram user. "When did Bengaluru metro turn to Delhi Metro?! It's public property. I thought the Bengaluru metro was strict, no compromise on rules, but this??? Tomorrow these people start bhajans, club inside the metro and station too," added another user.
A few other users, however, pointed out infrastructure limitations instead.
"You are attacking the symptom of them sitting on the floor, not the disease that Bangalore needs to increase coaches and provide more seating space," said an X user.
In a similar incident last year, a group of Ed Sheeran fans spontaneously began to sing his 2017 hit "Perfect". Their impromptu performance quickly went viral.
Police have registered a complaint after the video went viral. The BMRCL Security Officer lodged a case against 11 passengers who created trouble at Peenya Industry Police Station. All were taken to the station, and an NCR case was registered. The NCR copy has been sent to court for penalty proceedings.
