The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Wednesday affirmed that the Pakistan Super League (PSL) will go as scheduled, with Islamabad United slated to face Quetta Gladiators on Wednesday in Rawalpindi, amid escalating military tensions with neighboring India. The league is returning to Rawalpindi for four straight games from May 7-10 and the game is scheduled to start at 8 PM local time at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
“HBL Pakistan Super League X will continue as planned with Islamabad United set to take on Quetta Gladiators later today at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium,” a report by Arab News quoted a handout issued by PCB as saying.

According to the PCB, the elimination match will take place in Rawalpindi on May 13 after the last group encounter in Multan on May 11. Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore will host the playoffs and final on May 14, 16, and 18.
Meanwhile, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) said that they are communicating with the PCB to make sure that their players participating in the PSL are safe and well. The two Bangladesh players competing in PSL 2025 are pacer Nahid Rana (Peshawar Zalmi) and leg-spinner Rishad Hossain (Lahore Qalandars).
"The BCB is in active coordination with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and the Bangladesh High Commission in Islamabad to ensure that all necessary measures are in place to guarantee the security of our players," the board stated in a release.

In the meantime, the Bangladeshi board is hoping for a successful five-match T20I trip to Pakistan, which is scheduled to start on May 25. Faruque Ahmed, the president of the BCB, told Cricbuzz on Wednesday that they are currently awaiting the outcome of the situation in Pakistan before making any decisions.
"We are really working on the current situation (as far as going to Pakistan for the T20I series) and it can wait for another three to four days," said Faruque. "Let's see how it progresses but at the moment our main concern is regarding the two players (Nahid Rana and Rishad Hossain) who are currently in Pakistan playing in the PSL."
