The much-anticipated Round 2 clash between Jasprit Bumrah and Sam Konstas lived up to its billing, delivering yet another thrilling moment after the Australian debutant had claimed Round 1. On Day 4 (December 29) of the fourth Test in Melbourne, Bumrah and Konstas once again captured the fans' attention, keeping them glued to their screens on Sunday morning.

Konstas didn't take long to get off the mark, but it was Bumrah who had the final last in this encounter. The Indian pacer produced a stunning inswinger that completely outfoxed the young opener, breaching his defense and crashing into the middle stump at the Melbourne Cricket Stadium.

Could've got him out 6-7 times: Bumrah on Sam Konstas

On Day 1, Sam Konstas displayed remarkable confidence, taking on Jasprit Bumrah with a couple of audacious ramp shots that raced to the boundary. Interestingly, Konstas became Bumrah's 199th Test wicket during the match.

Reflecting on his battle with the Australian debutant, Bumrah remarked that Konstas is an intriguing batter but expressed confidence in his own abilities, stating he could dismiss him 6-7 times within two overs.

"Interesting batsman as well, and I always felt I was in the game, I never felt that I am far away from a wicket. Initially I felt I could get him out 6-7 times in the first two overs, but that's how cricket goes, some days it pays off, it looks good, some days it doesn't, then you guys might be criticizing the same person," he had said.
