After an underwhelming show at home against the Black Caps, it felt like India will be under immense pressure as they engage in a grueling five-match Border Gavaskar series in Down Under. However, the team, which lacked the services of Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill, produced a remarkable display, completely outplaying Australia in both departments of the game. India won the first Test played in Perth by 295 runs and will hope for a similar outcome as the action shifts to Adelaide.

The second Test is a day-night affair starting from December 6, the same venue where India were all out for 36 in their previous visit in 2020. India will hope for a much stronger response this time around but recalling the match Australia's star batter Travis Head noted that "it'll be nice to do that again".

Head while speaking to reporters also mentioned: "I remember that it was a quick Test, so it was good. We got to enjoy all of the bits of Adelaide afterwards."

However, Head feels that repeating the same will be difficult given the show Indian batters put in Perth, which included tons from Yashasvi Jaiswal and Virat Kohli.

India and Australia in pink ball Tests

India have so far engaged in four pink ball Tests, in which the team has lost just once, which was at Adelaide. Australia, on the other hand, have played 12 pink ball Tests, out of which they have won 11.

India took part in a pink-ball match against the Prime Ministers XI over the weekend, while Australia last played a pink ball Test in January. "It's been a long time since we played one (pink ball), India got another look at it last night. Everyone's well experienced enough, especially that team as well, that in your international level. I think you can accustomed to things pretty quickly. I don't think it'll take them long to be prepared for it, and same as us," said Head.
