With on-field altercations and the ongoing no-handshake controversy, the India-Pakistan Asia Cup match in Dubai was already tense, but what transpired on Pakistani television during the game has left fans in disbelief.

In a talk show footage that went viral, the host boldly posed the following startling query: "Sir agar ladke yaha se jaan maare to kya hum jeet sakte hain?"

One of the panelists laughed and said in response, "Mere khayal mein ya to ye karde ya kuch ladke firing hi kar dena idhar match he khatam karo kyunki confirm hai hum harenge."

Online users have criticized the casual suggestion of using violence to end the game as humiliating and disgraceful.

Former Pakistani cricketers Basit Ali and Kamran Akmal were also featured as experts on the show, and the video has further embarrassed Pakistani cricket at a time when the squad is having a difficult time on the field.

In a 105-run opening partnership with boyhood buddy Shubman Gill, Abhishek Sharma set the tone on the ground with a harsh yet graceful 74 off 39 balls. With seven balls remaining, India easily won by six wickets after chasing down 172.

Shaheen Afridi and Haris Rauf attempted to incite Indian batters throughout the match, but the umpires intervened to defuse the situation.

However, rather than discussing cricket, Pakistan is once more making headlines for all the wrong reasons. Fans have questioned whether the sport is still the main focus, given everything from Haris Rauf's celebration of his fighter jet to the blatant TV debate over stopping the game with bullets.
