Mumbai Indians fell short of 31 runs chasing a mammoth target of 278 runs against SRH.
Earlier in the first innings, Sunrisers Hyderabad with the help of Travis Head (62), Abhishek Sharma (63), Klaasen (80*) and Markram (42) hard hitting, SRH posed the highest total of IPL history at 277/3 in 20 overs. Mumbai Indians needed some effort to chase 278 runs and set a record to win this game.
Mumbai Indians tried their best to chase the score but in vain as the high-scoring match was always going to be tough for the team chasing. After some start by Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan, wickets fell at regular intervals for MI and as a result they lost the match by 31 runs.
