Team India stalwarts Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul have been putting in intense hours at the BCCI Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru as they prepare for future international challenges. Both players were seen giving their all in training sessions, combining fitness drills with skill-based work.

With Rohit having stepped away from Test and T20I cricket, his attention is now solely fixed on excelling in the ODI format. The Indian skipper is focused on refining his batting and maintaining peak fitness. Meanwhile, Rahul, known for his versatility across all three formats, continues to adapt seamlessly to every role handed to him. His preparations have been directed at staying sharp and ready for any responsibility the team may require.

The BCCI recently released a video showcasing the duo’s training. Inside the gym, they were guided by professional trainers through strength and conditioning routines designed to build endurance and agility. Out in the nets, both cricketers worked on their batting, practicing against varied conditions that the Centre of Excellence provides to simulate match scenarios.

Alongside other teammates, Rohit and Rahul underwent pre-season assessments to evaluate their physical and technical readiness. Reports suggest that all players, including the senior duo, successfully cleared the tests and are now awaiting team selection for upcoming assignments.

Rohit was last seen in action during the ICC Champions Trophy Final, where India clinched the title with a win over New Zealand. Rahul, on the other hand, featured in the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy, which ended in a memorable 2-2 draw.

The BCCI’s training video has sparked speculation that both Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul could feature in the upcoming away ODI series against Australia. The much-anticipated white-ball tour begins on October 19 at the Optus Stadium in Perth, with ODIs setting the tone for the series.
