Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with Indian athletes bound for the Paris Olympics in New Delhi on Thursday. During a special interaction, he extended his best wishes to the athletes.
"Interacted with our contingent heading to Paris for the Olympics. I am confident our athletes will give their best and make India proud. Their life journeys and success inspire hope for 1.4 billion Indians," Modi shared on social media following the event.
On Friday morning, PM Modi posted a video of the interaction, captioning it "A memorable interaction with our contingent for Paris Olympics. Let us all #Cheer4Bharat."

India is set to send a substantial contingent of nearly 120 individuals, aiming to achieve its best-ever medals tally after securing a record seven medals in Tokyo 2021.
In addition to personal meetings with several athletes, Modi engaged virtually with Olympics Javelin champion Neeraj Chopra, two-time Olympic medallist PV Sindhu, and World Champion boxer Nikhat Zareen. He also expressed his interest in inviting these athletes to the Red Fort for the upcoming Independence Day celebrations on August 15th.
