Cristiano Ronaldo sent internet into a meltdown earlier this week when news emerged of him being engaged to longtime partner Georgina Rodriguez. The couple have been together for over eight years and on Tuesday Georgina confirmed that they have decided to start a new chapter in their lives. She shared a photo of a huge diamond ring on her finger and captioned it: "Yes, I do" in Spanish. “In this and in all my lives,” it further read.

While social media is still frenzy over the latest development in Ronaldo's personal life, Bollywood actress Bipasha Basu revisited her special moment with the star Portuguese footballer. Bipasha shared a reel on her Instagram story, which was a throwback from 2007 when the two celebrated personalities shared the stage together.

Bipasha and Ronaldo had met back in 2007 at the New Seven Wonders of the World ceremony in Lisbon, Portugal. The caption of the video shared by Bipasha read: “That iconic stage moment: Bipasha Basu with Ronaldo."

The actress also met Ronaldo at a party after the ceremony, which made national headlines due to a photo of her with the footballer. The two were snapped together and appeared to be kissing, which was denied by the actress.

"Post that (the event), I met him at a party. He is very tall and there was too much noise and every time he had to talk, he had to bend down and talk to me,” she said about the viral picture during an interaction on popular TV show Aap Ki Adalat.

Ronaldo-Georgina dating life

Meanwhile, Ronaldo and Rodriguez have two daughters together. The couple had lost one of their newborn twins, a boy, in 2022. Meanwhile, she also helps Ronaldo raise his other three children.

Ronaldo had first met Rodríguez in 2016 when she worked at a Gucci store in Madrid.

Ronaldo, who has previously played for Manchester United and Real Madrid, now plays for Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia.
