The Maha Kumbh 2025 in Prayagraj has witnessed an extraordinary turnout, with over 97.3 million devotees, Kalpavasis, and saints taking the holy dip at the sacred Triveni Sangam in the first 11 days. The event, a remarkable congregation of faith, is expected to surpass the 100 million mark by the end of the day.

According to Uttar Pradesh government data, nearly 1.7 million people bathed at the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and the mythical Saraswati rivers on Thursday alone. Officials estimate that this year’s Maha Kumbh could see a total of 450 million participants, cementing its status as one of the world’s largest spiritual gatherings.

Among the countless devotees and spiritual leaders, Rajpal Singh, popularly known as Pahalwan Baba, has caught the public's attention with his unique mission to inspire the youth. Known for his exceptional physical fitness and motivational stance, Pahalwan Baba is calling for a shift toward healthy living and spiritual awareness.

“My goal is to awaken the youth, eradicate drug addiction, and make India a Vishwaguru,” said the 50-year-old Baba, who boasts the ability to perform 10,000 one-handed push-ups. “If I can work this hard at my age, the younger generation can do much more,” he added.

Apart from promoting fitness, Pahalwan Baba emphasizes respecting elders and avoiding harmful habits. He encourages youths to choose a healthier lifestyle by cutting out fast food and embracing homemade meals. His message resonates with many, as he shared that he receives daily calls from people who have been inspired to transform their lives.

On Wednesday, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath led by example, taking a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam alongside Deputy Chief Ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya, Brajesh Pathak, and other cabinet ministers. The Chief Minister expressed his gratitude and lauded the arrangements made for the Maha Kumbh, stating, “These are some of the best preparations I’ve seen, reflecting the vision of making India a global leader.”

Yogi Adityanath also announced the renewal of Uttar Pradesh’s Aerospace and Defence policy, which has been in place for five years, and revealed plans for municipal corporation bonds to be issued for Prayagraj, Varanasi, and Agra. “This initiative is aimed at enhancing development and branding these cities, as seen with the successful issuance of bonds for Lucknow and Ghaziabad,” he said.

With the massive crowds continuing to pour into Prayagraj, authorities are now focusing on preparations for Mauni Amavasya on January 29. This auspicious occasion traditionally draws some of the largest gatherings during the Kumbh, and officials are working diligently to ensure the safety and convenience of the devotees.

The Maha Kumbh 2025 has truly become a beacon of faith and unity, bringing together millions of people from across the globe in a spiritual and cultural celebration. As the event progresses, its scale and impact continue to inspire awe and devotion.
