In an unusual step, Israel has published a comprehensive report highlighting Canada as a hotbed of antisemitism since the October 7 Hamas terrorist attacks.

Published by the Israeli Ministry for Diaspora Affairs and Combating Antisemitism on Monday, the report documents major antisemitic and anti-Israel incidents in Canada.

According to Ynetnews that cited the Israeli ministry's report, Canada has seen a staggering 670% rise in reported antisemitic incidents since October 7, 2023, compared to the same period last year.

This increase encompasses violent acts, including shootings at Jewish institutions and arson attacks on synagogues, schools, and community centers. Although Jews make up only 1.4% of Canada’s population, they represent 70% of religiously motivated hate crimes.

On Saturday morning, the Bais Chaya Mushka Elementary School, a Jewish girls' day school in Toronto, was targeted in a shooting for the second time.
