On April 20, 1999, two students at Columbine High School in Colorado, just three weeks shy of graduation, stormed the suburban Denver school armed with shotguns and semiautomatic weapons, fatally shooting 12 students and a teacher before committing suicide. Twenty-five years ago, the event was a shock to the nation. Today, mass shootings at schools and elsewhere have become commonplace and, sadly, part of the fabric of American life. Watch!
