Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a bilateral meeting with the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, at the Hyderabad House in New Delhi on Tuesday. The two leaders engaged in delegation-level talks aimed at strengthening the ties between India and Qatar. Upon the Emir’s arrival, the leaders exchanged pleasantries and shook hands before proceeding with the discussions. Prime Minister Modi was accompanied by External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, and other senior ministers. On the Qatari side, the Emir was joined by a high-level delegation, including senior officials and ministers. Earlier in the day, Sheikh Tamim received a ceremonial welcome, including a Guard of Honour, at the forecourt of Rashtrapati Bhavan. President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Modi were present to welcome the Emir. The Qatari delegation also interacted with Indian ministers during the ceremony
