Jeera sowing is in full swing in Gujarat and Rajasthan. So far in Gujarat, Jeera has been sown in an area of 36,600 hectares against the 18,000 hectares sown at the same time last year. As per Department of Commerce data, the exports of Jeera in the first five months (Apr-Aug) of 2016-17 is recorded at 60,907 tons higher by 62% compared to corresponding period of last year.By: Skymetweather.com
