Despite poor demand from consumers and corporates, prices of Indian coconut oil surged and were quoting at Rs 116 per kg in Kerala and Rs 114 per kg in Tamil Nadu, key producing states. Tight supplies and low copra availability were the contributing factors for the surge. Copra prices also increased to Rs 83 per kg in Kerala.By: Skymetweather.com
