A wrestling match took place aboard a super-fast bullet train in Japan and a video of the same has gone viral online. Two professional wrestlers participated in the WWE-style match organised by Tokya-based DDT Pro-Wrestling in a carriageway full of 75 passengers, BBC reported.

The tickets for the match between Minoru Suzuki and Sanshiro Takagi were sold out within 30 minutes. They wrestled aboard the Shinkansen bullet train from Tokyo to Nagoya on Monday.

The now-viral video shared by a page called Rasslin’ on X (formerly Twitter). In the clip, the wrestlers can be seen grappling each other and even performing moves like piledriver, much to the passengers’ delight.

Many viewers were also seen recording the match on their phones. According to The Telegraph, the match lasted for half an hour.

DDT Pro-Wrestling has hosted such matches in quite unusual places, including a bookstore and a campsite. Meanwhile, Suzuki emerged as the winner of the match held on the train.

Last month, a fight was organised at a restaurant in Tokyo where two sumo wrestlers boasted their skills in front of cheering tourists.

Professional wrestling is one of Japan’s most popular sports. There has been an influx of tourists in the country who just want to experience the world of sumo wrestling.
