A model dressed as a giant furball got lost on the runway at the Paris Fashion Week. She crashed into guests and almost collided with singer Sam Smith, who was performing live, according to Insider. A video of the same has gone viral online and has garnered over 4 million views.
The chaos happened during Christian Cowan’s Ready to Wear Spring 2024 show that was hosted at the American Cathedral in Paris. Cowan’s collection featured some very unconventional fuzzy looks as well, Insider reported.
A video that was shared on Instagram by a page called Diet Prada on Friday, showed the model almost colliding with Smith who was performing “You Spin Me Round (Like a Record)" on a revolving stage. She then crashed into the guests on the front row and then the cathedral altar as well.
The model was also seen wearing gigantic high heels and seemed to lose balance.
She had to be “rescued” by the show organisers later.
The viral video caught the attention of the singer as well, who wrote, “We had a ball”.
Cowan was also amused by the incident and compared the model’s walk to Miley Cyrus’s 2013 hit song “Wrecking Ball”.
"She came in to Paris Fashion Week like a wrecking ball," Cowan captioned a closeup of the model wearing his design, adding, “no models were harmed.”
The British designer also tagged Mi’Jon, a model based in France according to her Instagram account. It is believed that she was inside the giant furball costume, according to Insider.
Meanwhile, Paris Fashion Week started on September 25 and will go on till October 3.
